The main loft also has 3 sliding windows and a fixed skylight to allow as much light in as possible. We also offer an optional slide out rear deck (framed with steel, cedar plank flooring).
There is onboard grey water storage, propane tankless hot water heater and a propane furnace with more than enough BTUs to handle even the coldest of winters. Our homes are built like traditional homes so you know they will be sturdy and have enough R value in the insulation to keep the heat in and the cold out. Our team of builders have a combined 35+ years of home building under their tool belts so you know you're in good hands - and above much of the competition out there today.

The Starling

The Starling Tiny House

The Starling is based on the Tiny House we designed and built for Parks Canada for the 2016 summer/fall camping season (formerly serenityacrestinyhomes.com) and is designed primarily for short term living and camping.
It's built on a 20' double axle trailer so it's fairly light and can be towed by any full size truck. Starting in the front, we have an exterior propane storage unit with 2 - 30 lb tanks which power the tankless hot water tank and wall mounted furnace.
At the front of the unit is a small kitchen equipped with a single sink, cabinets, bar fridge and double countertop induction burners.
The bathroom is equipped with a stand up shower, flushing toilet, exhaust fan/light combo and the 80,000 BTU tankless hot water heater. Parks Canada did not want a sink in the bathroom as the kitchen sink was just outside the sliding barn door. Above the bathroom is simply used for storage.
There is an over-sized 36" exterior door right next to a fold down table for two. On the opposide wall is the 11,000 BTU propane space furnace. This unit takes up little space and only uses outdoor air for intake and exhaust.
Next to that is a ladder which takes you up to the bedroom loft which is big enough for a queen size mattress. Below the loft is a seating area with a table that doubles as a 2nd sleeping area. Under the cushions is a large storage area. Surrounding this area are 3 large sliding windows.
This home can also be equipped with a slide out rear deck (optional) which is steel framed and uses cedar planks for the floooring.
Pricing for this home starts at $44,900 at a 20' length. For other lengths, contact us for pricing. Contact us for more details and options.

Tiny House Appliances & Options

Space Heaters

Electric or Propane

Dickinson Marine propane space heaters (shown) are well known and well used in the Tiny House world and we are proud to also install these high quality, great looking heaters in our Tiny Homes. There are many other types that we can install for you as well - it just depends on your preference.

Fridge

Electric or Electric/propane

If you're looking to really live off grid or you plan to do some travelling with your Tiny Home, then you might want to consider a duel powered fridge - one that runs on propane or electricity. Having both as an option means that you're truely independent no matter where you are.

Skylights

Stargazing

Skylights are a great way to not only increase the amount of light into the home and more specifially the loft, but you'll also be able to gaze at the stars on those clear nights - something which most people will never be able to do in a typical home! Another added bonus is that you can have us install a vented skylight which will allow you to open it up to let fresh air in and stale air to escape.

Tankless Water Heater

Propane or Electric

In keeping true to tiny spaces and simplicity, we install tankless water heaters. They take up minimal space and have no problem keeping up with the smaller demands of Tiny House living.

Composting Toilet

Most popular tiny home toilet

Composting toilets are the most popular types of toilets in Tiny Homes and for good reason. They don't require any power and are easy to maintian.

Incinerating Toilet

Propane or Electric

Incinerating, or burn toilets aren't as popular as composting, but they also haven't been around as long. They do require power - either propane or electric so the cost is greater than composting, but they also burn at such high temperatures than when you need to clean it out, all that is left are ashes.

Countertop Burner

Propane or Electric

Countertop burners can be installed by themselves or as part of a complete unit with oven. They are available in propane or electric, although most Tiny Homes use propane for this.

Ikea Cabinets & Storage

The best name in storage

Nobody makes well made storage units for tiny spaces as well as Ikea does, and we use them almost exclusively.

Tiny House Trailer

We buy trailers made here in Alberta

We only use high quality steel trailers made here in Alberta. Solid tubular construction with wheel wells, these trailers can handle over 10,000lbs load rating.
